The band behind the label... Sean J Vincent and Rick Wilde started Sonic Hub the year before the label came into being. An outlet for their own creations that doesn't need to fit into any parameters of style or fashion. The first album 'Eye Of The Storm' was an eclectic mix of Progressive House, Stadium House, Ambient and...er...well, just plain weirdness. It crossed all boundaries and has sold the world over. The single 'New Man' featuring Martin Fry on vocals was released through a licensing deal with Ninthwave Records in the USA. It's still selling and getting airplay as well as plenty of plays in the clubs. Guests on the album included Kim Wilde, Loretta Heywood (Bomb The Bass), Charlotte Hodson (Basement Jaxx) and many more.
2008 sees Sonic Hub back in the studio working on new tunes. With their work on the movie 'Shoot The DJ', Sonic Hub are recording tracks for the soundtrack album....and there's also a new Sonic Hub album in the making. Featuring a more focussed sound leaning heavily towards the progressive house genre, Sonic Hub are looking forward to getting the new sound out there...
As always...Sonic Hub are ignoring any rules that appear in the way of creativity. Like they always say:
"There's no A&R department sticking their noses in...there's no label demanding 'more
jackin mixes'...... It's a very simple relationship. We make the album we want, you buy it. If you like it, you buy more, if you don't, you don't. "
With the freinds Sonic Hub made with 'The Eye Of The Storm', the new album should shake the foundations again...this time a little harder.
Sonic Hub are back in the studio....new tracks coming late 2008...
